
NFSC Chairman, Revd Ikpea Hosts Grand Ceremony for Late Parents
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that eminent personalities and dignitaries from all walks of life especially the sports circle across the nation and overseas are converging on Lagos to grace the grand funeral ceremony of Mrs. Alice Ikpea and remembrance of Mr. Patrick Agbadamasi Ikpea at the weekend.
The host, Reverend Samuel Ikpea, National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, NFSC, is a renowned sports icon and respectable personality in Nigeria.
According to the family, Mrs Alice Ikpea who joined her ancestors on November 2nd of 2024 was born on June 7, 1940. Having joined her ancestors after a brief illness, she was immediately interred, 24 hours after her demise, according to her last wish.
Hailing from Igata, Iddo of Okpella in Edo State, she was a great achiever in her own right.
Mr. Patrick Agbadamasi Ikpea, father of Reverend Samuel Ikpea, who died in January 1990, is fondly remembered for his remarkable achievements as a medical personnel.
Born on 14th of March 1935, Ikpea had served meritoriously as a medical personnel at Sapele and the General Hospital in Agbede, Edo State.
The Late Ikpea was born into the famous Ikpea dynasty in Ehanlen, Ewu, also in Edo State.
He was known as a great philanthropist, who dedicated the better part of his life to the service of humanity and faith.
According to the family, the combined funeral and remembrance ceremonies are scheduled to hold on Saturday 26th day of July 2025.

The ceremony is expected to kickoff at noon inside Nebo Hall at the Nigeria Army Ordinance Corp, beside Albati Barracks in Ojuelegbe, Surulere, Lagos.
One of the surviving children, Reverend Samuel Ikpea stated that, “his parents lived a good life and served God according to the teachings of Jesus Christ”.
“I have no regrets having both of them as my parents. If I come to this world again, I would want to come through them, if God permits”, the NFSC national chairman enthused.
