Scores of secondary school students in Lagos state could not write their compulsory students tests on Saturday owing to persistent technical glitches.
Some of the affected students expressed frustration over the lapses and inadequacies of the technical infrastructure for the online students tests.
Some of the students who spoke to TheConscience said though many of them had attempted to log in to their mobile devices as instructed by the school and government authorities, they were however frustrated and could not write the compulsory tests after battling with various issues especially login glitches for over 2 hours.
The system in an apparent server jam had displayed various error messages on the mobile devices instead of granting the anxious students access to the portal for the compulsory students test.
The students lamented that they later received a short SMS from one Mrs Busari informing the students that the test has been postponed till further notice.
A copy of the message obtained by TheConscience reads:
“Good afternoon all,
We are indeed sorry for all inconveniences our students, parents and principals must have suffered for not been able to link up with the link sent for the E-Testing.
It is a general problem that has affected all the District’s. The test has been postponed till further notice.
“Principals shall be updated through this platform as event unfold. Once again, we apologise for all inconveniences. Thank you
