Zenith Bank Urges Women to Rise to Leadership, Growth Ahead 2026 International Women’s Day Seminar

Zenith Bank Plc has renewed its call for women to step boldly into leadership, growth and purposeful living as it prepares to host its 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD) Seminar in Lagos.

The seminar, scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026, at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, forms part of the Bank’s activities marking the global commemoration of International Women’s Day.

Aligned with the 2026 global theme, “Give to Gain,” Zenith Bank has adopted the sub-theme, “Take It, You Own It,” underscoring a dual responsibility — institutions must intentionally create opportunities, while women must confidently seize and own them.

According to the Bank, the theme reflects its belief that sustainable progress is achieved when enabling systems are matched by bold participation. The 2026 edition builds on the success of previous seminars, including the 2025 programme themed “Winning On All Fronts,” further deepening engagement around women’s empowerment, leadership and sustainable impact.

Over the years, Zenith Bank’s International Women’s Day initiatives have convened leading voices across business, governance, technology, the creative industries and social impact, creating a platform for dialogue, inspiration and shared learning around gender equity and inclusive growth.

“The International Women’s Day is a reminder that progress requires intentionality. ‘Give to Gain’ speaks to the responsibility institutions have to create real opportunities, while our theme ‘Take It, You Own It’ challenges women to step forward boldly and lead,” she said.

“At Zenith Bank, we are deliberate about building environments where women are supported to grow, thrive, and shape outcomes, not only within our institution but across the communities and industries we serve.”

Described as more than a commemorative gathering, the 2026 seminar is positioned as a convergence of influence, insight and inspiration. The programme will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, interactive Q&A sessions and creative interludes designed to equip participants with practical strategies for professional advancement and personal wellbeing.

Segments will focus on leadership insight, professional empowerment, collaboration and holistic growth, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to fostering platforms where women’s potential is recognised and amplified.
