FirstBank-Sponsored TVN 4: Praiz Picks Four talents for Finals

FirstBank-Sponsored TVN 4: Praiz Picks Four talents for Finals

Coach Praiz has selected four vocalists that will represent his team at the finals of the voice Nigeria music talents show.

The global reality TV weekly contest, in its fourth season in Nigeria, is sponsored by Nigeria’s premier financial institution, FirstBank, in line with its commitment to supporting arts, entertainment and youth development.

The lucky singers include Ben, Sidun Shy, Roselyn and Remi Adeniyi who all emerged at the weekend during the twelfth episode.

The show currently in the Battle stage uniquely features four stages of competition, including the Blind Auditions, Knockouts, Battles and Live Shows, for an opportunity to grab the grand prizes.

The singers will be joined by one more talent to be decided through viewers votes on votestudio.live

Their selection followed four back to back rounds of head-to-head duet among the eight talents in coach Praiz team.

Stephen, Temitope Tag Blackie, John Akpos and Chioma however failed to impress the coach and were dropped to the danger zone on the brink of eviction where viewers votes can save only one of them.

Superstar musicians – Niyola, Naeto C, Waje and Praiz, feature both as coaches and judges for the talents while movie star, Kate Henshaw anchors the show.

Popular indigenous singer, 9ice, a guest judge stood in for rapper, Naeto C during the episode.

The Duets

The first duet featured illustrator and designer, Ben who took on Stephen, an engineer and singer, in a joint performance of Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed and Delivered.

The performance was followed by another explosive duet between a massage therapist, Temitope Tag Blackie and video game buff, Sidun Shy, who sang Davido and Chris Brown’s Blow My Mind.

Dog trainer and businessman, John Akpos, and music director, Roselyn had clashed on another duet with Praiz’s Folasade.

The final duet pitched student and make up artiste Chioma against sound engineer, Remi Adeniyi for a romantic delivery of Endless Love by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross.

Folake Ani-Mumuney, FirstBank’s Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications said the lending giant has given voice to Nigerians for the past 129 years, and will continue to give voice to Nigerians by creating employment, economic empowerment in the country through its products, services and initiatives and it remains committed to strengthening the creative industry which is fast growing into a multibillion-dollar business, with potential to be a leading contributor to Nigeria’s GDP in the near future.

What Next?

The forthcoming episode will feature another team of eight vocalists in four rounds of head-to-head duets to get one of the five tickets available for an opportunity at the finals.
