In modern times, youths are the backbone of every society, organization and institution. Nigeria today boasts of over 70 per cent of its national population as youthful bones below 50 years brimming with full vibrancy, ideas and energy. Globally, this is seen as one of the key strengths of Nigeria.
The All Progressive Party APC understands this quite well and that reflects in its strategic approach of empowering young promising leaders who have displayed character, courage and tenacity, and offering them increasing opportunities for leadership.
The appointment of Idris Iwalewa Coker, an APC youthful politician and grassroots mobiliser from the Lagos Island into the national APC Presidential Campaign Committee for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is another great move from the party and is very commendable.
It demonstrated the leadership of APC as matching words with actions and indicating its readiness to record massive victories in the forth coming 2023 general elections at all levels as a party that recognizes the important role of and embraces the youths.

The appointment didn’t come as a surprise as Idris Iwalewa Coker has shown courage, class and grit as a Progressive Young politician.
For years, he has been consistent as the Convener of Go Culture, a mega African multicultural group which promotes indigenous African cultures through colourful carnivals, cultural reorientation and advocacy events.
Through the platform, he coordinates and empower scores of youths and helps them channel creative energy and talent into productive cultural promotion instead of violence and despondence. This is helping him make tremendous impact.
Idris is also a modest socialite who mingles with top traditional rulers, elites, business leaders, dignitaries and celebrities. Yet, he remains humble, dedicated and focused.
Success and excellence they say pour in for the diligent. It’s not surprising too that he has also been appointed as one of the coordinators for the Lagos Youths Walk for Asiwaju Tinubu/ Shettima, Sanwo-olu/Hamzat program.
Due to his impeccable leadership skills and administrative prowess he has been a grassroot mobilizer with believers across the country and would certainly excel in these new roles.
