Davido Reacts To Adeleke Resignation From PDP Amid Party Crisis
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Afrobeats star Davido has reacted to the resignation of his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), posting a brief “Jeje…” on his X handle shortly after the news broke.
Governor Adeleke, who previously represented Osun West in the Senate and currently serves as Governor of Osun State, announced his resignation in a letter dated November 4, 2025. He attributed his decision to the ongoing leadership crisis within the party.
In the letter, titled “Resignation of my Membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)”, Adeleke stated:
“Due to the current crisis of the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), I hereby resign my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party with immediate effect.”
He also expressed appreciation for the platform the PDP provided throughout his political career.
“I thank the Peoples Democratic Party for the opportunities given to me for my elections as a Senator (representing Osun West) and as Governor of Osun State.”
The governor’s exit from the PDP has triggered widespread reactions, with Davido’s cryptic post further fueling speculation about the political implications for the party.
