Nigeria’s Covid-19 cases continue to rise rapidly fuelled by community transmission and public resistance to health protocols, including social distancing, face masking and frequent hand washing practice, following eased lockdown across key cities and states.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC late Monday announced 562 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus, with deaths now 801 while total confirmed cases stand at 37,225. However, 15333 persons have been discharged after recovering fully.
The Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force headed by Secretary to the Federal Government, Mr Boss Mustapha, continues to adapt strategies to combat the global pandemic which continues to ravage the world, fine-tuning its tactics and boosting capacity in collaboration with the organized private sector under the aegis of CACOVID.
