ACAMB President, Rasheed Bolarinwa Wins ‘Outstanding PR Professional of the Year’ Award
President of the Association of Corporate and Marketing Communication Professionals (ACAMB) and Head, Corporate Communications of Polaris Bank, Rasheed Bolarinwa on Thursday received the ‘Outstanding PR Professional of the Year’ Award.

The Your Image Award 2022 and launching of Your Image Magazine and lecture which held at Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital was organized by Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR (Ogun State chapter) in conjunction with PR Primal Ltd.
The lecture themed: “Turning around the nation: The leadership question” was presented by the President, African Public Relations Association (APRA), Mr Yomi Badejo-Okusanya via a zoom meeting from Lusaka, Zambia where he is undertaking another assignment.
In his opening address, the MD/CEO, PR Primus Ltd., Mr. Akin Okudero said the awardees have over the years distinguished themselves in their various areas of responsibilities.
‘Your Excellencies, distinguished personalities, ladies and gentlemen, today we are recognizing very few personalities who have made their marks through commitment to promoting cutting edge standard in corporate good governance and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). We believe this effort will further institutionalize good performance in the society.”
Presenting the award to Bolarinwa on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile said: ‘It gives me great joy to present this award in particular because Bolarinwa is a thorough-bred professional and one of us too.
He has demonstrated his doggedness over the years and this award is in recognition of his immense contributions to Public Relations and Marketing Communications’.
While receiving the award, the ACAMB boss said it was a motivation to do more and never let the guards down. ‘I want to appreciate the organisers for finding me and other awardees worthy of this honour. It is simply a pat on the back to do more in our respective endeavours and that we will continue to do. Thank you and God bless.’
Dignitaries at the event include, Governor Dapo Abiodun ably represented by Waheed Odusile, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy who also doubled as a Guest of Honour at the event. Former Governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel was physically present as Chairman of the occasion.
The President, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Mallam Mukhtar Sirajo was also present as Guest of Honour. Top communications scholar, Prof. Lai Oso also graced the occasion. Others include royal fathers, industry stakeholders and well wishers.
