Npower Reveals New Updates on Program

Npower, government's unemployment support programme in Nigeria

Npower, Nigeria’s government unemployment support program has released some important news updates. See recent developments and news highlights on the program.

1. Npower News On Permanency For Batch A And Batch B
TheConscience reports that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, recently said the exited and eligible N-power beneficiaries will be absorbed into government programmes and by private organisations for permanent jobs.

2. Npower Stipends Payment News For Batch A And Batch B Npower Beneficiaries.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, recently said the exited and eligible N-power beneficiaries will be also absorbed into government programmes and by private organisations for permanent jobs.

3. NSIP has disbursed N13.3b to 15,246 Npower beneficiaries for Npower stipends payment.
A total number of 15,246 beneficiaries of both batches A and B Npower beneficiaries in Kwara state were paid a sum of N13.3 billion before they exited the programme, National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), has said.

4. Finally, FG Speaks On Releasing Npower Batch C Shortlisted Candidates List

Npower Batch C shortlisted candidates list is what Npower beneficiaries are awaiting. The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development has denied releasing Npower Batch C shortlisted candidates list for the second stage of the Batch C Npower recruitment programme.

5.FG Approves Payment Of Outstanding Npower Beneficiaries Stipends

Npower Beneficiaries Stipends payment approval has been made by FG. The Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the further payment of Npower Beneficiaries Stipends.

6. FG Takes Decision On Absorbing Npower Beneficiaries
The Federal Government has taken a decision on absorbing Npower beneficiaries. The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Farouq, has disclosed that discussions are ongoing to ensure that exited and eligible N-Power beneficiaries are absorbed into government programmes.

7. N-Power Commences Payment Of Npower June And July Stipends
Npower June and July stipends for Npower beneficiaries commenced today. The Federal Government social intervention scheme, N-Power, commenced the payment of Npower stipends to affected Npower beneficiaries today, Wednesday, August 19, after 79 days protests by aggrieved batches A and B beneficiaries of the social intervention scheme.

8. Minister Reveals When Npower Beneficiaries Will Get June Stipend, July Stipend
June Stipend and July Stipend payment update for Npower Beneficiaries has been revealed. TheConscience reports that Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has finally revealed when Npower beneficiaries will receive their unpaid stipends.

2000 Npower beneficiaries have tabled a Fresh demand Before Buhari. At least 2,000 Npower beneficiaries held a ‘Thank You Rally’ to Aso Rock, Nigeria’s Presidential Villa over the success of the N-Power scheme and other Social Intervention Programmes in the country.

12. FG Sets Closing Date For Npower Batch C Registration

TheConscience reports that before now, the Npower online application process, which began on Friday, June 26, 2020, was to have ended Sunday, July 26, 2020. However, the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari extended the Npower online application by two weeks. The development means potential beneficiaries of the Federal government empowerment programme (N-Power) can continue with the online application until the next two weeks which is the Closing date for Npower Batch C registration.

13. Angry Npower Beneficiaries Protest In Abuja (Photos)
Angry Npower beneficiaries protested in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Thursday. TheConscience reports that the aggrieved beneficiaries of the Federal government empowerment programme (N-Power) protested over their disengagement from the programme and unsettled stipends.

14. Why 14000 Npower Beneficiaries Are Yet To Get Stipends – FG
The Federal Government has revealed why over 14000 Npower beneficiaries are yet to receive stipends. TheConscience reports that the ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development said some of of the Npower beneficiaries were not paid their stipends because the payment platform already recognised their accounts

15. Npower Speaks On Closing Registration For Batch C Recruitment
The Federal Government social intervention scheme, N-Power, says registration for Npower Batch C recruitment is still on. The update given by the Federal Government social intervention scheme, N-Power, is coming after Npower portal for 2020 Batch C intakes opened at exactly 11: 45 pm on Friday, 26th June 2020, hours after some applicants had already registered for the scheme as against the directive of the social intervention scheme.

Npower Batch A and B Npower beneficiaries have been assured of a successful transition. The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq said she and her team were working to ensure a successful transition for the Npower beneficiaries.
