SPECIAL FOCUS! Adekunle Badmus: The Rise and Rise of a Global Nation Builder
By Bolaji Israel
In a modern world where conversations about nation building and national development often revolve around government policies and political leadership, Ambassador Dr Adekunle Azeez Badmus is pursuing a different path: empowering people, connecting opportunities and equipping young Africans with the knowledge and skills to shape their future.

An entrepreneur, educationist, public speaker, motivator and youth ambassador, Badmus has steadily built an ecosystem of initiatives around education, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, professional networking and economic empowerment.
His approach reflects a conviction that nation-building is not the exclusive responsibility of government but a collective undertaking requiring informed, skilled and economically empowered citizens.

Based in Turkey, Badmus maintains close ties with Nigeria, returning frequently to advance initiatives that he believes can contribute to the country’s development. His international exposure has also informed his interest in connecting Nigerian youths with global opportunities.
From Education to Empowerment
One of the earliest expressions of this vision is Goodmus Learning Centre, an educational services organisation established to make international education more accessible and affordable. Through its study-abroad services, the organisation has helped hundreds of students access admission opportunities across international institutions, including those in Europe and Turkey.
The centre’s stated mission is to make learning worthwhile and affordable, while its vision emphasises creating and actualising educational opportunities for African youths.
For Badmus, education is more than obtaining certificates. It is a pathway to competence, opportunity and personal transformation.
His commitment to expanding access to global opportunities has also found expression in the Global Competency Assessment initiative, which focuses on assessing practical competence and connecting individuals with opportunities for further education, certification and career advancement.
Connecting People, Building Nations
Badmus subsequently established The Global Clusters, a platform bringing entrepreneurs, technocrats, professionals, investors and young people together to share knowledge, establish meaningful relationships and explore business opportunities.
The platform is anchored on three central pillars: accurate connections, accurate knowledge and information, and purposeful action. Its broader ambition is to transform professional networking into a practical instrument for enterprise development and national progress.
At its core is the belief that talented people can achieve more when they have access to reliable information, relevant mentors and the right networks.
Badmus has described The Global Clusters as a nation-building movement designed to prepare young people not merely for survival but for leadership, productivity and meaningful contributions to society.
Taking Digital Literacy to the Grassroots
Another significant dimension of his work is digital inclusion. Through initiatives targeting 37 million Nigerians and one billion Africans, Badmus and The Global Clusters have articulated an ambitious agenda to expand digital literacy and prepare young people for an increasingly technology-driven world.
The SparkHubs platform supports this mission by combining digital learning, professional networking, mentorship, entrepreneurship and social interaction within a structured online community.
Rather than treating social media simply as a space for entertainment, the initiative seeks to make digital engagement more productive, encouraging users to learn, connect, develop skills and pursue opportunities.
Its philosophy is particularly relevant to young people navigating an economy in which digital competence increasingly influences employability, innovation and business growth.
Linking Investment to Real Economic Sectors
Badmus has also extended his interests into agriculture, real estate and export through Project A.R.E. The initiative is designed to connect investors and young people with productive economic activities across these sectors.
Under the proposed agricultural model, investors can participate in farming projects managed by Goodmus Investment, while the wider concept links agricultural production with land ownership and longer-term asset development.
Other initiatives associated with his expanding ecosystem include the Cow to Currency Project, which explores the relationship between agriculture, investment and commerce; the GQL concept, focused on grants, quality education and lifetime empowerment; and Remedy.Earth, a flagship initiative directed towards energy transformation and sustainable power solutions.
Together, these projects reflect an effort to connect education and digital empowerment with practical pathways to economic participation.
The People and Philosophy Behind the Vision
Badmus’s work is underpinned by an emphasis on mindset, collaboration, enterprise and personal responsibility. His approach suggests that meaningful national transformation begins when people acquire the competence, confidence and connections to contribute productively.

Among those associated with his professional and social circle are Comrade Bolaji Israel, a marketing communications professional, journalist and businessman, and chief executive of Cream Influence Strategies, Lagos;

Ambassador Mike Adeyemi, a Lagos-based real estate entrepreneur and chief executive of REALTORMAX; and Daniel Deji Ayodele, popularly known as The Global Daniel, an international trade facilitator and businessman based in Turkey.

Another prominent figure in his circle is Ambassador Seyi Makinde, an agriculture business expert as well as Dr Michelle Bacote Ukoh, an education leader, mindset expert and businesswoman whose work centres on personal transformation and leadership development. She is a co-founder of The Global Clusters.

Their shared interests in enterprise, leadership and human development provide a broader context for the collaborative environment around Badmus’s initiatives.
A Continuing Journey
The scale of Badmus’s ambitions is considerable. Expanding digital literacy to millions, improving access to global education and creating sustainable economic opportunities will require strong partnerships, transparent implementation and measurable outcomes.
Yet his defining contribution may lie in his insistence that nation-building must extend beyond rhetoric into practical systems that empower people.
From affordable education to digital communities and investment-linked enterprise, Ambassador Dr Adekunle Azeez Badmus is pursuing a model of development that places human potential at the centre.
His journey is still unfolding. Whether through a classroom, a digital platform, a professional network or an agricultural investment initiative, his central proposition remains consistent: a stronger nation begins with empowered people.
