Tayo Ayinde Expresses Gratitude to Gov Sanwo-olu on Re-appointment as CoS, Pledges to Redouble Efforts

The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu on Thursday announced the re-appointment of Mr Tayo Ayinde as his Chief of Staff, as part of plans to kick off his second term in office in earnest.

Ayinde, who had served in the same capacity since 2019 and also doubled as the Director General of the Governor’s Re-election Campaign Council, have expressed his profuse gratitude to Sanwo-olu for finding him worthy of the crucial role.

In his reaction, Ayinde popularly known as Buffalo in the political arena acknowledged the giant strides of Mr Governor during the first term in office in the actualisation of the THEMES Agenda for Lagos State and promised to redouble his efforts towards enabling a smooth and successful administration for his Principal in the quest to deliver bountiful dividends of democracy to residents of the state.

“Thank you, Mr. Governor, for finding me worthy of being your Chief of Staff,” an elated Ayinde stated.

“Having dedicated the last four years of my life to the service of the good people of Lagos as the Governor’s Chief of Staff and securing my re-appointment, I am committed to working with Mr. Governor in discharging the enormous task ahead for the smooth administration, peace and progress of the state.”

The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu on Thursday announced the re-appointment of Mr Tayo Ayinde as his Chief of Staff, as part of plans to kick off his second term in office in earnest.

Ayinde also expressed his readiness to give his utmost best during his second term in office. He conveyed his gratitude once again to Governor Sanwo-olu for the confidence reposed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the outlined responsibilities.

Chief of Staff, Ayinde is responsible for assisting the Governor in coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of the State.

With his extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Lagos politics, his re-appointment is expected to further bring valuable insights and strategic thinking to the administration of the state.

Prior to his appointment, Ayinde had served merritoriously as the chief security detail for eight years to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu then Lagos Governor between 1999 and 2007.

He is renowned as a leader with charisma, resilience, empathy and character in the Lagos political arena and the rulling All Progressive Congress APC.
