Prof. Lumumba, Traore, Other Top African Leaders to Storm Lagos for PALESH 2025 Symposium

Organisers have confirmed that preparations are in top gear for the much-anticipated 14th edition of the Pan African Leadership Symposium and Honours (PALESH 2025), scheduled for April 5, 2025, in Lagos.

Highlighting the event will be a keynote address by the esteemed Prof. Patrick Lumumba, a renowned African scholar and former Director of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC).

His Excellency Ibrahim Traoré, President of Burkina Faso, will join other distinguished African leaders to be honored at PALESH Nigeria 2025.

The United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC) Africa, the organisers is set to bestow the title of Grand Commander of Peace (GCOP) upon His Excellency Ibrahim Traoré, recognizing his leadership excellence and outstanding contributions to nation-building and transformative development in Burkina Faso.

The event’s steering committee, which includes respected figures from various African nations, is chaired by His Excellency Chief Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, former Vice President of Liberia. The committee’s decisions were ratified by UNIPGC Global President, His Excellency Amb Dr. Jonathan Ojadah.

A statement released today by *Dr. Kalkomundo Samuel*, Senior Special Assistant to the President of Burkina Faso, expressed excitement and commended the organization for acknowledging H.E. Ibrahim Traoré as a leading African figure deserving of the international Leadership Excellence award in peace, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG Agenda 16) on peace, justice, and strong institutions

Themed “Adaptive Leadership & Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms: A Panacea for Consolidating Peaceful Coexistence in Africa,” the symposium will tackle vital issues surrounding leadership, governance, and development integral to Africa’s future.

Prof. Lumumba will address the topic, “Democracy and the Fight Against Leadership Corruption: Implications for Public Trust, Governance, Peace, and Stability in Africa.”

Organized by Dr. Jonathan Ojadah, the Global President of UNIPGC, the symposium will kick off with a three-day Executive MBA Masterclass from April 2 to April 4, 2025, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), culminating in the leadership symposium and awards ceremony.

Other esteemed speakers joining Prof. Lumumba include:

– **His Excellency Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi**, President of Zanzibar
– **His Excellency Thabo Mbeki**, former President of South Africa
– **Her Excellency Chief Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor**, former Vice President of Liberia and Matron of UNIPGC Africa
– **Hon. Constant Mutamba**, Minister of Justice, DR Congo
– **His Excellency Prof. Dhadho Godhana**, Governor of Tana River County, Republic of Kenya
– **His Excellency Johnson Kangombe**, Governor of Chingola, Republic of Zambia

The gathering of African leaders is expected to promote dialogue on effective leadership strategies and peaceful coexistence while providing a platform for innovative solutions to the continent’s challenges.
