Popular Singer Slams Govt For Ignoring Nigerians Suffering
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Popular rapper, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, also known as Zlatan Ibile, has criticised the Nigerian government for failing to address the growing economic hardship in the country.
Speaking in an interview with Madame Joyce in the UK, Zlatan said Nigerians have become so used to suffering that it now feels normal.
“We are used to it, suffering and smiling, that’s how it has always been and the government isn’t doing anything about it,” he said.
Reacting to British rapper Dave’s satire about Nigeria’s flashy clubbers and beggars outside the clubs, Zlatan expressed concern that hardship and inequality have become part of daily life.
He also described some beggars as entitled, noting that many rely on alms instead of seeking productive ways to earn a living.
Zlatan urged street beggars to pursue meaningful ventures to improve their lives.
