He defeated nine other finalists including Nicole, Queen Jasper, Adeola, Marrz, Matt, Ikande, Mike Frost, Bhen and Shy.

The global show in its fourth season in Nigeria is sponsored by FirstBank, the nation’s 129-year-old premier financial powerhouse, as part of its strategic support for arts, entertainment and youth development.

It was also supported by Airtel, Leadway Assurance, CocaCola, JAC Motors, and Zaron

Way back in the second weekend of January, THECONSCIENCEng reported that Pere was the biggest talent and revelation of the night during the fourth episode of the show.

He and seven others triumphed following impressive music performances, joining the rank of twenty three other talents who had emerged from the Blind Auditions.

With a sensational delivery that got judges Waje and Niyola jumping, the Bayelsa born talent dazzled like a diamond in the sky singing Beyonce’s XO with a melodious, silky and soothing voice described by Praiz as one of the few that could get a male singer to deliver a Beyonce hit perfectly.

With Niyola being the first to turn for him followed by the other three coaches, it wasn’t any surprise that he settled for her as coach.

Since then, Pere has wowed viewers every weekend with beautiful and delightful display of vocal dexterity and emotions.

Forty eight talents including Pere had crossed the blind auditions hurdle, the first main competitive stage.

The show which premiered on December 24 featured a special format including four stages of competition – the Blind Auditions, Knockouts, Battles and Live Shows.

It has also featured many other top vocal talents who dropped out along the way, including Remi, Bryan, Manuel, Gidion and countless others.

The talents show was organised by UN1TY Nigeria to discover, nurture and bring to the fore musical talents amongst the next generation of Nigerian youths.

The season four had four coaches cum judges, including superstar singers Waje, Praiz, Naeto C and Niyola who was represented by rapper Ice Prince towards the end of the season.

The third season of the show was won in 2022 by 23 year old Delta-State born song bird Esther Benyeogo. she went home with 10million naira, an SUV and other prizes. It was also sponsored by FirstBank

Folake Ani-Mumuney, FirstBank’s Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, said FirstBank has given voice to Nigerians for over a century, and will continue to give voice to Nigerians by assisting creative talents and industry to thrive, creating employment and economic empowerment in the country through its products, services and initiatives.
