JYPA Hails President Tinubu On Victory At PEPT, Says Triumph For Democracy, Nigerians

The Joint Youth Progressive Alliance, JYPA, has joined millions of progressive Nigerians to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, the nation’s Capital.

The Group lauded the Judiciary for upholding the tenets of democracy, and making the Will of the people come to fulfillment.

President of the Group, Prince Kunle Adeyemi said the triumph was not only for the All Progressives Congress, APC, but for every Nigerian that stands for truth, equity, justice, fair play and rule of law irrespective of language, culture, norms, values, ethnicity and ideology.

Prince Adeyemi however urged every citizen to rally round President Tinubu in his grounded vision to achieve a better Nigeria for the collective benefit of all.

The Group also called on the petitioners that includes, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, LP, Presidential Candidate, Peter Gregory Obi to embrace the olive branch and join hands with President Tinubu in nation building.

In a Statement by the JYPA, it stated that, “We are delighted by the judicial victory of President Asiwaju at PEPT, which emphatically affirms the clear democratic choice of Nigerians at the Presidential Poll on February 25, 2023. We join millions of Nigerians to congratulate the President on his victory at the PEPT, Court of Appeal, which was delivered in an immaculate candour and intellectual thoroughness by the judiciary despite primitive intimidation and blackmail by those who have refused to accept electoral defeat.

“We see the victory of President Tinubu as yet another re-affirmation of the trust and confidence Nigerians reposed in his capacity and capability to bring about a prosperity, growth, development, secure and assured future for all Nigerians.

“We however urge him to remain steadfast and not rest on his oars in bringing the desired development and economic growth for the nation and the people at large.

“We also urge him to remain committed, and patriotic to the cause of leading Nigeria aright in all facet of life including economic, social and political.

“As a Group, we remain optimistic that his bold and courageous policies thus far will lead Nigeria to glory.

“JYPA also want to use this opportunity to congratulate the judiciary for rising above intimidation, deliberate blackmail, threats and primitive bullying to deliver such an unimpeachable judgment.

“The tenacity, courage and depth exhibited by the judges and their determination to stick to the truth despite all odds and deliver a historic judgment free from bias and prejudice is noticed and the names of the judges will be in the epoch of history”, the statement reads.
