Children and teenagers between age 5 and 17 have started participation in an open free online summer camp organised by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation.
TheConscienceNG reports that the summer camp which will run from August 11 to 21 was designed to stimulate Nigerian children and teenagers interests for nature and natural habitats, and create excitement and environmental education for them while they are forced to stay at home by coronavirus pandemic.
According to Oladapo Soneye, NCF Communications Manager, “The NCF is keen on providing environment education and exciting times for Nigerian pupils and teenagers, which has necessitated the setting up of Conservation Clubs in Schools and Birds Clubs in Communities nationwide.”
