NARTO Calls Off Nationwide Strike
By THECONSCIENCEng
The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) has decided to suspend its planned nationwide strike following a meeting with the Federal Government and stakeholders on Monday.
The association had initially issued a strike notice in response to the challenging economic conditions faced by tanker drivers. Concerns were raised over the high cost of automotive gas oil (diesel), crucial for powering their trucks to transport petroleum products across the country.

NARTO’s members had threatened a nationwide shutdown starting on Monday due to the soaring price of diesel, which reached N1,226.69 per litre last week.
However, after discussions with relevant authorities, the strike has been put on hold for the time being.
