The Chairman of The Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA), Oba Dr Alhaji Raji Suleiman Ashade, aka Jafo Authority, the Oniba Ekun of Iba Area in Lagos State, has affirmed that LASPAGA remains fully operational in the state.

The Chairman who disclosed this at a press briefing at the Union’s head office in Lagos on Friday, spoke in a reaction to rumours and claims circulating in some media outlets alleging the termination of the committee’s operations.

The LASPAGA boss clarified that the misleading reports were baseless and untrue as the committee’s operations remain fully operational in Lagos State, in accordance with the regulations set by the Lagos State Government under the esteemed leadership of His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

In light of this, he urged all its members and operators across the state to disregard the fake news and continue with their lawful operations within the ambits of the law.

This was also corroborated by the body’s Secretary, Mr Olamilekan Amusan, who also issued a statement to that effect.

The Chairman reassured that the welfare and safety of its members are of utmost importance, as it remains committed to upholding the peace and security within all designated parks and garages.

The committee strongly advised its members to refrain from engaging in any provocative activities and to report any suspicious behavior to the appropriate authorities.

“As a law-abiding and peaceful transport organization in Lagos State, LASPAGA remains dedicated to providing efficient and reliable services to the public.

“The committee, under the esteemed chairmanship of Alhaji Suleiman Raji, remains united and steadfast in its commitment to the welfare and safety of all its members across the state, ” the statement added.
