Isbae U’s father and popular Nollywood actor dies
Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay), a popular Nollywood actor and father to star skit maker and comedian, Abidemi Adebayo aka Isbae U, has died.
Sir K Kamoru, renowned for playing ‘bad boy’ and ‘criminal gang leader’ roles in movies, was a close associate of Lagos transport union chief, Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya a.k.a. MC Oluomo.
In August of 2022, Sir K got N1m cash from his son to mark his birthday.
Isbae U also went viral on social media few weeks ago for splashing N100m on new house.
MC Oluomo, announced the actor’s death on Tuesday via his Instagram page.
MC Oluomo wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal rest. RIP Sir Kay.”
Following the announcement, other Yoruba actors and actresses have mourned the deceased on their Instagram pages.
Sharing the picture of a lit candle, Faithia Williams, wrote, “What a life. God… Sir Kay”, accompanied with crying emojis.
Commiserating with the actor’s family, popular Nollywood actor and director, Femi Adebayo wrote on Facebook, “INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAYHI RAJI’UN!. RIP Sir Kay! May Allah comfort the families left behind.
Another actor, Yomi Fabiyi also reacted on Instagram. Yomi Fabiyi took to his verified Instagram page to post the picture of the actor with the caption, ” O di gba kan naa, (till we meet again) Sir K Warrior. . Wabili Kabbar. RIP senior man.
