How Dog Died After Eating Poisoned Food Meant For Us — Adeboye’s wife
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Foluke Adeboye, wife of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed how her family narrowly escaped tragedy after their dog died from eating poisoned food delivered to their home on January 1st.
The 77-year-old cleric shared the chilling experience in a recently circulated video, explaining that the incident occurred after her household received several food items as New Year gifts.
According to Mrs. Adeboye, she felt a sudden sense of unease upon seeing one of the meals and decided to have it fed to their dogs instead of serving it to the family.
“Somebody brought food to our house on New Year’s Day. Of course, many people had been coming in and out, eating and celebrating. I entered the kitchen and asked who owned the food, and they said someone brought it. I looked at it and told them to give it to the dogs,” she recounted.
She said a visitor from London who witnessed her decision was visibly surprised.
“A woman who came from London looked at me and almost questioned my action. But an hour later, the gateman came to inform us that the dog had died,” she explained.
Mrs. Adeboye warned the congregation to imagine the possible outcome had any member of her family eaten the meal.
“Just imagine if, on New Year’s Day, someone in Daddy G.O.’s house had eaten that food maybe three or four people. What would the news have been?” she asked.
Using the experience as a lesson, she urged worshippers to remain spiritually vigilant and discerning, especially when receiving gifts during festive seasons.
Pastor Enoch and Foluke Adeboye, who have been married since 1967, are blessed with three children.
