End Police Brutality: IPAN Highlights Power of Unity

 

IPAN Igbo for a Progressive Nigeria supports End Police brutality protest
Following nationwide End Police brutality protests in Nigeria, socio-cultural group, Igbos For A Progressive Nigeria, IPAN, has saluted youths for their unity of purpose.

IPAN, an organization formed to unite the Igbos and build bridges of understanding and partnership with other regions of the country, in an official statement endorsed the current mass protest by Nigerian youths to end police brutality, hailing protesters for coming together to unite for a great cause emphasizing the strength of unity.

In a statement made available to journalists in Lagos,, Igbos For A Progressive Nigeria, IPAN, congratulated Nigerians for uniting to fight a common menace bedeviling all and sundry in the country.

The group further stated that the end police brutality protests was a good indicator of the power of unity for the nation.

According to the Worldwide President of the group, Lawrence Onuzulike, “The collective will of all Nigerians to fight this danger, especially through the stop police brutality protest without any ethnic, religious or political colouration underscores the message of IPAN…that in unity, Nigerians can conquer anything.”

Onuzulike said; “We equally salute president Muhammadu Buhari for understanding in the first place that he is a Nigerian, and therefore, showed empathy to the feelings of Nigerians since the commencement of the end police brutality protests. The constant directive that the protesters must not be harassed and intimidated by the law enforcement agencies shows that the President fully understands that legitimacy truly resides with the people,” added Emeka Nwachukwu, IPAN’s vice president.

IPAN Igbo for a Progressive Nigeria supports End Police brutality protest

He said; “We applaud the decision of the federal government to quickly swing into action towards meeting the five points demands by Nigerians on this matter. It shows the resolve of the government to stand with the collective will of the people.”

He added that; “We also salute Nigerians for winning this war. At the same time urge everyone to remain peaceful and law abiding, so that we will truly win the war in the real sense of it.

NEWSIgbo group seeks pardon for pro-Biafran detainees

IPAN is a pro Nigeria group of Igbo patriots working for the unity and progress of Nigeria; adept disciples of one Nigeria as a political philosophy.

The Group also ensures that Ndigbo are part of the scheme of things in Nigeria, with people as well as well-educated and successful Igbos patriots with members and zones across Nigeria and in diaspora.
