Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois: Boxers Prize Money, Belts, Records And Everything At Stake

Anthony Joshua aims to relaunch his status on Saturday September 21, as the most lucrative prizefighter in the British heavyweight division.

THECONSCIENCE NG reports that if he wins, AJ can become only the sixth-ever three-time heavyweight champion by beating Daniel Dubois but he’s set for a huge payday regardless.

AJ who will headline a UK stadium fight for the sixth time once commanded huge earnings but losing consecutive fights to Oleksandr Usyk has cut his pay grade.

Joshua reportedly will earn a guaranteed sum of £6 million for the fight.

However, this will potentially surpass £25m depending on pay-per-view sales – with AJ the A-side of the 60/40 split in PPV buys.

Dubois who is fighting to defend his IBF title is set to make an estimated £3.5m guaranteed, which could rise up to £10m after fight.

After suffering defeat at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk last year in controversial fashion in his eyes, Dubois has bounced back with two fine performances against Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic.

Meanwhile, this is also set to be one of Joshua’s most lucrative fights, having pocketed $50million (£39.8m) against Francis Ngannou.

Joshua banked a stunning £3.3m for every strike he scored having knocked out the former UFC champion with just 12 punches.

Anthony Joshua says he has “been through a lot of pain” over the past two years as he bids to become a three-time world champion against fellow British heavyweight Daniel Dubois on Saturday.

The 34-year-old will take on IBF belt-holder Dubois, 27, in front of a post-war British record 96,000 fans.

Joshua has rebuilt and worked his way back to mandatory challenger position having broken down in tears after losing a second consecutive fight to Oleksandr Usyk in August 2022.

“I’ve worked hard and been through a lot of pain, and I’ve worked hard to get better,” he told BBC Sport.

“Hopefully those experiences won’t happen again because as you saw that night, I don’t like losing.”

The 2012 Olympic gold medallist is on a four-fight winning streak and brutally knocked out Francis Ngannou in his last outing.

The two Brits will come head-to-head at Wembley on September 21, and both will depart significantly richer.
