CSMC Amazing Grace District Disclaims Seven Former Elders, Exposes Fraudulent Activities

CSMC Amazing Grace District Exposes Alleged Fraudulent Activities of Seven Former Elders

By THECONSCIENCEng

The leadership of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, (CSMC), Amazing Grace District Headquarters has denounced alleged fraudulent activities and membership claims by seven former elders of the church.

According to multiple documents sighted by THECONSCIENCEng, the church said the seven former elders including Benson A Awonusi, Ganiyu Folusho Gabriel Jinadu, Remi Babalola, Gafaru Ashiru, Akinlaja Olajuwon, Shola Agesin and Yemi Ogunsanya left the church since 2020 to establish their own church.

It was also alleged that the said elders, however, fraudulently left with millions of Naira from the church accounts namely; FIRST BANK OF NIGERIA PLC, WEMA BANK OF NIGERIA PLC, FIDELITY BANK NIGERIA PLC.

“They also went away with four vehicles belonging to the church with registration numbers as follow;Toyota Hiace Bus (FKJ 746 AR), Toyota Sienna (LSD 551 FC), Mazda bus (MUS 439 CW) and another Mazda bus.

“All these are in their custody. We reliably learnt that two of the vehicles were already sold by them. To cap it all, they also carted away the kitchen utensils of the district headquarters.”

It would be recalled that The Leadership of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Amazing Grace District Headquarters in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos has called out Folusho Jinadu alongside Four Others for fraudulently selling and converting the Church Properties for their personal use.

It was also alleged by the Church that Jinadu had sold Two Mazda Buses belonging to the Church with a Toyota Hiace Hummer Bus with Registration Number FKJ746AR in his custody with the Name of the Church boldly written on it wiped off, while the whereabout of a Toyota Sienna also in his custody unknown.

The District Secretary of the Church, Sp/Ap/Past. Owolabi Abioye alleged that Jinadu connived with B.A Awonusi, R.O Babalola, and R.O Ogunsanya to fraudulently changed the signatories of the Church District Account in Fidelity Bank with Account Number; 4110043668 (Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Amazing Grace District) and made a withdrawal of N1.9 Million (One Million, Nine Hundred Thousand Naira) without the consent of the District Branch Leaders.

It added that the sum of N17 Million (Seventeen Million Naira) was allegedly withdrawn by Jinadu who is the orchestrator alongside B.A Awonusi, Juwon Akinlaja, and R.O Ogunsanya in the Church Account at Wema Bank with Account Number; 0121411279 (Amazing Grace C&S Church) without the consent of the leadership of the Church.

All these fraudulent transactions were done after Jinadu, a former Banker had connived with some Bank officials at the Bank to illegally change the signatories and put his cohorts as signatories.

According to the Church, it said, “Without mincing words, the church is categorically stating that they are no more members of the Amazing Grace District Headquarters at the above address.

“Any member of the public relating with them as part of the church is doing so in his or her own folly.
