Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman, Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede Bids Adelana Farewell
It was indeed a solemn moment as friends, family, political associates, and supporters gathered at the Abibat Mogaji hall of the legislative arm of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government council to pay their respect to a beloved friend and associate.
The solemn wake began on a prayer note with praise and worship. The opening hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” was chorused as well as the reading of the scripture of 1 Corinthians 15 54-58.
The congregational Hymn: Jesus Lives was solemnly chanted.
The gathering was a convergence of political bigwigs at the federal, state, and local government levels. Each speaker took turns to eulogize the great grassroots tactician who passed away at 62 after a brief illness.
Speaking on behalf of the council chairman was the local government area All Progressives Congress chairman, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, who commended the maturity and political sagacity of the deceased.
He acknowledged his roles .in rebuilding the party and keeping it together. He noted that he will be greatly missed, particularly now that his experience would have come to bear. He prayed for the repose of his soul and the fortitude for his immediate family and the APC family to bear the loss.
Other speakers took turns to eulogize the deceased, praying for the repose of his soul.
Personalities present include members of the South West Development Commission, Hon. Bolaji Muse Ariyoh, Hon. Muyiwa Timothy Olabintan, Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Fatai Akinderu, Hon. Joe Igbokwe, Hon. Banji Gbeleyi, Hon. Israel Akiode, the managing Director of Nigeria Railway Corporation,Dr Kayode Opeifa,Comrade Nelson Ekujumi,Chief Chris Ekwilo among other eminent personalities.
