Comfort Nwankwo Emerges New Lagos NIPR Chairperson
THECONSCIENCEng reports that Mrs Comfort Nwankwo has emerged as the new Chairperson of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Nwankwo, a two-time former Vice Chairperson whose campaign was tagged Comfort of Choice had beaten Jide Benson, a very vibrant contestant and the outgone Vice Chairman, Eniola Mayowa to emerge as the winner in a keenly contested election on July 1.
Ayetutu Samuel Bamidele also beat Oladapo Soneye to clinch the post of the Vice Chairman while the other posts were clinched unopposed.
The election which started with an accreditation earlier at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs NIIA in Victoria Island, Lagos was adjudged to be free and fair under the Barrister Jide Ologun, a former Lagos State Chapter Chairman led electoral committee.
The newly elected executive council had been inaugurated immediately.
Other members of the new council includes Ahmadu Fatimah Binta as General Secretary, Quadri Adeleke Adewale as Assistant Secretary, Modinat Tosin Olowoeshi as Treasurer, Olumuyiwa Ojelabi as Internal Auditor, Nyinongo Nicodemus Nyitar as Financial Secretary, Samuel Adeyemi as Public Relations Executive and others.
The out-gone executive council was led by Olusegun Mcmedal, as two-time Chairman.
