Lagos Stands Still As 5th CMC Africa Awards Holds Today
The top class awards ceremony will host several A-list personalities including Political leaders, business captains, popular Nollywood thespians, musicians and many others at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja.
Speaking on the readiness of the programme, convener of the event, Amb. Cornell Udofia said everything is set to ensure a world class event.
“We are very pleased at CMC Africa to celebrate outstanding achievers and promote the culture of excellence. There are many areas that need improvements on the continent but many valiant men and women with ideas, innovations and creative ingenuity have also distinguished themselves in their various fields including business, technology, sports, entertainment, governance and academics despite the limitations of Covid-19.
These great people are worth celebrating and we are ready to make that happen today in Lagos in a glamorous manner, ” he noted.
Udofia added that there are over 50 CMC Africa awards categories that will be presented and Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel, Businessman chief Abimbola Aboderin, Nollywood icons Jim Iyke, Otunba Akintola Lewis, Football legend Peter Rufai, and former DSS Chief, Dennis Amachree are among dignitaries expected at the event.
