THECONSCIENCE NG reports that the Apeke Dynasty Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting better eye care health and supporting the less privileged through its humanitarian and health outreach, Jigi Ope 3.0, held on September 27, 2025, at Agbelekale area of Lagos State.

The third edition of the initiative focused on improving vision care, raising awareness about eye care, and providing practical support to those who cannot afford basic eye treatment.

The event, which attracted hundreds of beneficiaries, was marked by compassion, community spirit, and life-changing impact.

Over 300 residents, both young and old, benefited from free eyeglasses, while several others received prescribed eye drops and other medical supplies. Professional eye screenings, consultations, and health talks were also conducted by a team of volunteer optometrists and medical experts.

Speaking during the outreach, Opeyemi Maureen Emeka, President of the Apeke Dynasty Foundation, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming turnout and support.

“Our goal with Jigi Ope is to restore sight, hope, and confidence to people who may have given up due to poor vision or lack of access to eye care. Good eyesight should not be a luxury. It is a basic need that affects quality of life, education, and productivity. We are proud to be making a difference, one eye at a time,” Emeka said.

The Foundation noted that the Jigi Ope project, now in its third year, is part of its broader mission to promote social responsibility, healthcare accessibility, and community empowerment.

According to Emeka, the Foundation plans to extend the outreach to other parts of Lagos and beyond in subsequent editions, bringing the gift of sight and hope to even more communities.

She stated: “This is just the beginning. We believe that through empathy and collective effort, we can transform lives and build a healthier, more caring society.”
