

Forest Security Service, NFSS Nabs Suspected Kidnapper In Lagos, Rescues Mom, 2 Kids
Officers of the Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS), Lagos State Command, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and rescued a woman and her two children during a swift security operation in Ori-Ade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos.
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that the incident occurred at about 2:00 p.m. on June 12, 2026, when NFSS operatives on routine patrol reportedly responded to distress calls from members of the public.
In a statement on Friday, the Ori-Ade Commander, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Moses Oyebanji, said the officers immediately launched a pursuit after spotting the suspect attempting to flee with the victims.


According to him, the operatives successfully intercepted and apprehended the suspect, ensuring the safe rescue of the woman and her two children without injury.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Agboju Police Division for further investigation, profiling and possible prosecution.
The NFSS described the operation as a demonstration of the importance of vigilance and rapid response in combating criminal activities, particularly kidnapping and related threats.
Community leaders and residents commended the operatives for their prompt intervention, noting that effective collaboration between local security outfits and the Nigeria Police Force remains crucial to strengthening public safety and protecting lives and property across the state.
