Lagos CP Assesses Security at Pan-Atlantic University After Viral Video
The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, CP Tijani Fatai, has conducted an on-the-spot security assessment at Pan-Atlantic University, Lekki, following the circulation of a viral video showing two masked individuals emerging from a forest area near the institution.
According to a statement by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, the police commissioner led operational personnel to the university and met with its management to review security arrangements and identify areas for improvement.

During the visit, CP Fatai stressed the need for stronger security measures, including enhanced perimeter protection, tighter access control, and sustained collaboration with security agencies.
He also cautioned against actions that could compromise existing security efforts.

To bolster security in the area, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), in collaboration with the Lagos State Government, has deployed surveillance drones to support aerial monitoring, intelligence gathering, and crime prevention operations.
The commissioner reassured students, staff, parents, and residents of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, noting that proactive measures were being implemented to sustain security around the institution and adjoining communities.
The police urged residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information to security agencies through the command’s emergency lines.
