
AICFF 2026 Ends in Abuja, Urges Excellence in Christian Storytelling
The maiden edition of the Africa International Christian Film Festival (AICFF) has ended in Abuja with a call for greater excellence and collaboration in faith-based filmmaking.
The four-day festival, held from June 3 to 6 at Silverbird Cinemas, Abuja, brought together filmmakers, actors, producers, church leaders and media professionals for screenings, masterclasses, panel sessions and industry engagements.
A major highlight was the AICFF Pitch-A-Thon, where Tomisin Faoye won a ₦250,000 cash prize, mentorship support and a film development opportunity.

Organisers also unveiled six finalists selected for the Africa Gospel Film Project mentorship programme with Kingdom Story Company.
At the AICFF Awards, Where The River Divides emerged the biggest winner, claiming Overall Best Film, Best Directing, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Music/Soundtrack and Best Evangelical Film.
Organisers said the festival will return in 2027 with an expanded programme.
