Lagos Island Residents To Get N10Million, Food Items from Hon Oyekan’s Programme

The Deputy Leader Of Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan has concluded plans to empower Residents of Lagos Island Local Government Area with Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000) in Cash and 5Kg Bags of Rice amidst Economic Challenges in Nigeria.
A statement from his media team quoted Hon. Oyekan to have said the economic Intervention became necessary to alleviate poverty and upscale residents’ standard of living across Isale-Eko, Olowogbowo and Oko Faji communities.
The iconic Lagos council legislator stated further that artisans, particularly, tailors cum fashion designers on the Island will be gifted sewing machines.
“Over the years, I have embarked on Periodic Economic Empowerment and Social Intervention Programmes”, Hon. Oyekan said.
He continued : “I have distributed Equipment worth Millions of Naira and disbursed Grants to Artisans and Small Medium Scale Business Owners to Promote Local Economy.
Recall that Hon. Oyekan had also distributed Assorted Free Food Items to the Less-Privileged; People Living With Disabilities, Elderly Citizens, Widows and Widowers on Lagos Island Local Government.
In addition, He organised Trainings and Skill Acquisition such as Computer-Digital Literacy, Tailoring and Fashion Designing, Catering and Baking, Cosmetology, Musicology, Soap and Disinfectants Productions for Students and Youths.
Beneficiaries from previous programmes said Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan’s Economic Empowerment Scheme and Social Intervention Initiatives had Positive and Direct impacts on them in his Constituency.
