The traditional marriage and wedding ceremonies were held in the lively town of Uburu in Ohaozara, a flourishing suburb in eastern Nigeria, peculiar for its serenity and natural environment.

Aside from its natural features Uburu town is unique for being home to notable individuals in society who have made their marks in the corporate world, academia and even politics. The town prides itself for having produced at a time Dr. Ogbonna Onu, erstwhile Minister of Science and Technology; Dr. Dave Nweze Umahi, Nigeria’s most innovative Governor, Whose impact in the politics of the country cannot be overemphasized.

Others are Chief Austin Umahi, former National Vice Chairman of PDP, South East Zone, AIG Dr. Grace Chita Okudo. All these great Leaders from UBURU had their offices almost at the same time becoming the only town in Nigeria to be so blessed

It was this town that played host to the wedding ceremony of Lady Chidinma Ada Eze, daughter of Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a revered media practitioner and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP).

The wedding which attracted the creme de la creme of society saw friends, associates and well-wishers of Chief Eze in attendance including high ranking members of society, political, Religious leaders and men of the business world. The Governor of Ebonyi State and Senator-elect, Dr. Dave Nweze UMAHI who graciously approved the use of his hotel, OSBORN LA PALM ROYAL RESORT LTD. for reception acted as Chief Host and was represented by his workaholic PS, Chief Emma Obasi.

Erstwhile Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, ATIKU Abubakar GCON, Waziri Adamawa and PDP Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general elections including Dr. Boni Haruna former Governor of Adamawa, the state of birth of the Bride, were duly represented by Chief Nelly Mokwenye who chaired the event with Rev. Dr. Chukwuma Joseph Chukwu

Chief Eze’s Principal, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, was equally represented at the ceremony. Dr. Eric Kelechi Igwe, the ever smiling Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State was represented by the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Lands.

AIG Dr. Grace Chita OKUDO, Chief Eze’s sister with her amazing husband, Pharm. Sunny Okudo ensured that their presence was fully felt.

Though my great friend and brother, Dr. Dakuku Adol PETERSIDE erstwhile DG of NIMASA the Strategy Turnaround Expert was outside the country during the event he was monitoring the wedding activities almost on hourly basis

Prof. OGB Nwaorgu, Chief Eze’s in-law and his wife’s most senior brother, one of Nigeria’s best Medical Doctors was fully represented.

Prof Ekwe Agwu of UNN was in attendance with his beautiful wife

Prof. Innocent AGU sent his wife Dr. Chimebere AGU to stand for him while my brother and friend, Dr. Brown Onari the Executive Director Marine and Administration at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) ensured that nothing was lacking during the wedding.

APICP MARIAM UKENI, one of the most outstanding Women Ministers led the Church with the support of Rev. Dr. Chukwuma and Pastor Johnson Eze (JP) who officiated the wedding with Rev. Dr. Nestor Nzeribe who ensured that those who attended the wedding left with a better understanding of God’s purpose for marriage. Apostle Micheal Udeh, Rev. Sam Eze, Pastors (Mrs) Johnson Eze, Anyao Ezeaka, Christopher Nwaorgu, Emma Ewa and other Ministers of God assisted to make the church wedding a very memorable one

Chief Eze expressed gratitude to the Pastors and members of RPM, RCCG PENIEL Parish, RCCG Dominion Parish and the RCCG Umuobuna Community, Chairman of FUPA, Coordinator and staff of NPC, and the representatives of NIMASA, Chairman of Umungwuta Family Meeting and of course the President of Umuobuna and entire Ebonyians that honoured the event.

In his message of appreciation, the APC chieftain said he remain indebted to Gov. Umahi for ensuring that the road leading to his compound was duly tarred with street lighting just for the purpose of the wedding.

Expressing positive shock over the level of love showed him by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar in the course of the wedding, Eze said the PDP presidential candidate is indeed a unifier by words and action. He described Amaechi, former Rivers Governor as a true brother and leader who has proved beyond any doubt that his love for himself and family is certain.

Eze thanked Boni Haruna, erstwhile Governor of Adamawa for engaging him to reflect the memories he shared with him while at Adamawa.

To his wife, Evang. Ada Henrietta Chioma Eze and the entire family of P. N. Nwaorgu and Ezenwannne, Eze is grateful to God for bringing them together.

“May God bless my daughter and her husband, Elechi for given us reasons to know more about the awesomeness of our great God. Your home is blessed,” Eze concluded
