Finally Man Utd agree on transfer of 5 new star players
English football club, Manchester United are reportedly closing up on five new signings before the summer transfer window shuts.
Transfer deals in the Premier League will close on Thursday, September 1, after a close to the three-month activity of transfer business.
United have reportedly drawn up a five-man shortlist of players they want to sign before the window closes.
So far United have made just three signings in the shape of Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, and Tyrell Malacia.
Erik ten Hag is keen to strengthen his teams midfield, defence, and attack. Barcelona ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic, and Real Madrid star Casemiro headline the list of players United could make a move.
The clubs dismal performance last season meant that it missed out on a Champions League spot, United were tipped to have a busy window that would have seen the club sign more quality players.
However, the window has been the direct opposite, with the Red Devils offloading more players than they have signed.
United have signed just three players so far, and according to reports, Erik ten Hag could be boosted with five more signings in the coming days to help him strengthen his current squad before the close of transfers.
The Telegraph reports that the Dutchman is pushing for additions in the right-back, two midfielders, another winger and a new striker.
The five players include Borussia Dortmund Thomas Meunier and Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic. Also shortlisted in the wishlist is former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is currently plying his trade in the La Liga with Barcelona.
United hopes to add Real Madrid ace Casemiro to marshall the middle of the park, while Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is also a potential target and would cost the Red Devils about £42million.
