Students of Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State can breathe a sigh of relief as the management of the university slashed the tuition fee payable by almost 40 per cent.

The students have also been given the grace to pay twice, across both semesters.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwole Banjo, who disclosed this on Wednesday, stated that the move was to ease the financial burden of students and their parents during this harsh economic period.

Giving a breakdown of graduating students for its forthcoming combined 13th, 14th and 15th convocation ceremonies, the VC said 5,153 would graduate out of which 18 obtained first-class degrees.

Banjo also said a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Tunde Lemo, would be honoured with a doctorate during the ceremony.
