EndSARS: Reactions As Sanwo-Olu Unveils Walk For Peace With Arsenal Jersey
The social media space has been buzzing with several reactions after Governor Sanwo-Olu posted a poster where he officially unveiled the walk for peace to usher in the healing of Lagos with an Arsenal Football club jersey.
It would be recalled that the governor in a press conference spoke on the recent findings of the judicial panel inquiry which was set to investigate cases of police brutality in the state as well as the tragic shooting of protesters at the Lekki toll gate in October 2020.
THECONSCIENCEng gathered that the governor called on several of the EndSARS campaigners to join him in a walk for peace which is to hold in December.
He said: “In December, I will be leading A WALK FOR PEACE to herald the healing of our land. Let me use this occasion to extend an open invitation to our youths, members of the diplomatic corps, civil society groups, students, and the media as well as other stakeholders to join me.”
Reacting to his poster and captions, Social media in their hundreds felt was an insult for the governor to call for peace work instead of him taking proper steps on the #EndSARS panel report submitted to him.
