LSPGA Chairman Announces Plan to Return to RTEAN, Assures on Smooth Transition
The Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LSPGA) Caretaker Committee, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Raji-Ashade, has announced plans by the Union to immediately rejoin the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), an association it earlier emerged from following crisis among members in Lagos State.
He made the disclosure at a meeting with members on Monday in Lagos at the group’s Secretariat.
The Chairman said the decision came following directives from the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as well as the peaceful resolution of the lingering crisis in RTEAN which led to the lifting of suspension placed on it by the state government.

He restated the Union’s willingness to smoothly reintegrate into its original group, charging members to forthwith comply by dressing in the traditional yellow uniform known with RTEAN.
According to him, the LSPGA Secretariat at the Akesan Igando area of the state will also wear the traditional yellow colour of RTEAN starting this week.
He noted that the union had also diligently delivered on all responsibilities assigned to it as outlined in the terms of reference document, thanking members for their maximum cooperation.

He urged members to continue their operation as usual and shun all conducts that can jeopardise public peace and safety.
The well respected monarch and Union leader highlighted the remarkable achievements of the union during his tenure at LSPGA, including members welfare and enhanced transportation system in the state.
The Union’s Secretary, Alhaji Abdulrahman Amusan, also released a statement on the development concurring with the Chairman.
According to the statement, “Having diligently fulfilled all responsibilities assigned to us as outlined in the terms of reference, LSPGA is prepared to seamlessly reintegrate into RTEAN and continue our efforts to advance the transport sector in Lagos State.”

“As we embark on this transition, we reaffirm our dedication to promoting unity, peaceful co-existence, and enhanced transport services within Lagos State. We recognize the importance of fostering a colfaborative relationship betweer the govemment and transport unions to ensure the efficient operation of the transportation system.
“At this instance, all members across the state who were formerty LSPGA are hereby
directed to kick-start activities under the auspices of Road Transport Employers
Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), commence activities im our yeliow uniform and begin the sales of RTEAN ticket. We equally advice members to abide by the law and keep away from
any act of thuggery and hooliganism that might jeopardize the effort of the Lagos state government.
