Phyna Slams Dangote Group Over Sister’s Accident, Alleges Privacy Breach
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Big Brother Naija former winner Phyna has slammed the Dangote Group over a recent incident involving her sister, Ruth Otabor.
Ruth was severely injured and underwent an amputation after being involved in a truck accident near Auchi Polytechnic on August 13, 2025.
Phyna expressed outrage over the company’s alleged actions, claiming that their staff visited Ruth at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital and took photos without permission, later posting them online.
Phyna questioned the motive behind the company’s public statement, particularly their reference to her sister as “Mrs. Ruth Otabor”.
She demanded to know what narrative the company was trying to create.
Furthermore, Phyna stated that cameras would not be allowed in any future meetings or discussions related to the incident, emphasising the need for privacy and respect.
“Who gave you permission to snap any member of my family and posted it online? What disrespect. You send staff members to the hospital today and decide to turn it to content? I just pray this kind of picture didn’t happen with my sister… and moving forward with what is at hand on no account should there be a discussion, meetings and whatever the future holds and there is a camera in sight. Plus what do you mean by Mrs Ruth Otabor, what narrative are you about to start… Una Dey play with me?
”Appropriate compensation!!! Quick recovery from an already amputated leg? What necessary speed are you taking right now? Let’s not forget the Bike Man who is also in a very critical condition,” she wrote.
