Paternity Scandal Rages, As FCMB MD, Adam Nuru Goes on Leave To Allow Investigation
FCMB MD, Adam Nuru has gone on leave over paternity scandal.
The embattled Managing Director of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Mr. Adam Nuru has proceeded on leave over a raging paternity scandal, THECONSCIENCEng.com gathers.
This is as the board of the bank begins investigation into allegations of an illicit affair involving the FCMB MD and a former staff of the bank, Ms. Moyo Thomas which was linked to the recent death of Moyo’s husband.
The paternity scandal allegations has continued to gather momentum unabated and elicited mixed reactions as Nigerians online called for proper investigation.
Sources revealed that Nuru decided to thread the path to “allow the organization carry out an independent investigation into the issues surrounding the allegation.”
A source close to the FCMB MD disclosed that he decided to take the bull by the horn and save the bank from the negative public image trailing the scandal that got to public space on the first day of the New Year.
The source also disclosed that the bank may be issuing a statement about FCMB MD intended leave today Wednesday
A group which started an online campaign late December has collated over 2000 signatures online in a bid to force the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Board of FCMB to sack FCMB MD Adam Nuru over the crisis.
FCMB had earlier in a terse statement described the issue as personal but appears to be taking a u-turn as it has come under intense fire and public ridicule.
