Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s ‘Gun’ Video: Police Give Fresh Update
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that the Lagos State Police Command has officially discontinued its investigation into Pastor Paul Adefarasin of the House on the Rock Church following a viral video in which he was seen holding what appeared to be a firearm.
The clergyman had earlier reported himself at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, to clarify the matter. After interrogation and the taking of a cautionary statement, investigators confirmed that the object in question was a stun gun, not a lethal weapon or firearm.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Police Command said its findings showed that there were no sufficient grounds to pursue further action.

The statement, signed by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, read:
“After a thorough investigation, including interrogation and a cautionary statement from Pastor Adefarasin, it was established that the object in question was a stun gun and not a lethal weapon or firearm. Consequent on our findings, the Lagos State Police Command has determined that there are no sufficient grounds to proceed with the matter. The case is hereby discontinued.”

The Command further assured the public of its commitment to upholding the rule of law, maintaining transparency in its operations, and ensuring public safety.
The incident had stirred widespread debate on social media, with concerns raised over the nature of the object seen in the video.
