
Oyo/Osun Customs Strengthens Ties with DSS, NDLEA, NAFDAC
The Acting Customs Area Controller (CAC), Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, DC Moses Adewole, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration through a series of courtesy visits to key security and regulatory agencies in Oyo State.
In a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdulmalik Abiodun Akintola, the visits, held between 17 and 19 February 2026, were aimed at reinforcing existing partnerships and enhancing synergy in intelligence sharing, joint operations, and national security.
On Tuesday, 17 February, DC Adewole led his management team to the Oyo State Command of the Department of State Services in Ibadan, where he was received by the State Director, Rahim Adelakun. The Acting CAC commended the DSS for its role in safeguarding lives and property and stressed the need for sustained collaboration.

Adelakun, in his response, described the Customs Service as a critical institution in Nigeria’s economic development and border protection, assuring the Command of continued support through intelligence sharing, joint operations, and capacity-building initiatives.
On Wednesday, 18 February, the Acting CAC visited the Oyo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, where he was received by the State Commander, Oluwarotimi Lawal. Lawal praised Customs for its strategic role in combating illicit trafficking and pledged maximum cooperation, while Adewole reiterated his commitment to strengthening existing ties.

The tour continued on Thursday, 19 February, with a visit to the Southwest Zonal Office of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control in Ibadan. The Zonal Coordinator, Dr Isaac Anjorin Kolawole, commended the Customs Service for its contributions to revenue generation, anti-smuggling efforts, and border security, and emphasized the importance of sustained inter-agency synergy.
The Oyo/Osun Area Command said the engagements underscore its resolve to foster stronger partnerships with sister agencies to enhance operational efficiency, bolster national security, and support socio-economic development.
