
Ojelabi Presents Party’s Flag to Oyekan, As Ward Group Chairman Rallies Support for Chairmanship Candidate
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, on Tuesday presented the party’s flag to the Lagos Island local government chairmanship candidate, Hon Taiwo Oyekan.

official declaration for commencement of
ward to ward campaign.
This comes ahead of the forthcoming local government elections scheduled for July 12 in Lagos State.
Earlier, Hon. Aromire Babatunde Sheu, the party’s Chairman of the group of all Ward Chairmen in Lagos Island, applauded Hon. Oyekan for his leadership strides and significant impact on the Lagos Island community.
He said the candidate’s community intervention programmes in areas of empowerment, education, security and skills acquisition have touched the lives of residents.
He appealed to all stakeholders and residents to support Oyekan, the candidate for Executive Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government, to foster further development in the area.

Speaking passionately about Oyekan’s track record, Sheu outlined the candidate’s remarkable achievements during his tenure. “Hon. Taiwo Oyekan is an upright and astute politician,” he proclaimed. “He is a kind-hearted individual who genuinely loves the people of Lagos Island and consistently attends to their needs.”
He highlighted the numerous people-oriented programmes Oyekan has initiated within the Lagos Island Local Government Area, asserting that his contributions have been invaluable to the community. “He has implemented countless programmes that have significantly improved the lives of our residents,” he stated, emphasising the candidate’s commitment to uplifting the community.
As the election approaches, the Group Ward Chairman expressed his sincere hope for Oyekan’s success. “I pray that Almighty God will help us to make Taiwo Oyekan’s political aspiration come true,” he added, with the crowd echoing a resounding “Amen.”
Hon. Sheu called upon the residents of Isale-Eko, Olowogbowo, and Okoo Faji communities to unite in support of Oyekan. “Together, we can elevate Lagos Island to greater heights,” he affirmed, appealing directly to the electorate’s sense of community and collective responsibility.
He also reiterated the importance of civic participation, urging all eligible voters to prioritise the future of their community by supporting Hon. Oyekan for Executive Chairman.
