Upon close scrutiny, TheConscience confirmed that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has goofed terribly in his now viral letter of solidarity to former Emir of Kano, Sanusi 11.
The concise letter which was personally signed off by the Former President and was received by the media on Monday clearly with an error appearing to be typographical alters the message of solidarity and instead appeared to mock the deposed monarch.
In the second and most important paragraph, the word UN-DESERVED was, inadvertently in error, spelt as UNDER-SERVED, suggesting that Sanusi should have received a more severe punishment from Governor Ganduje.
While former aide to former president Jonathan, Reno Omokri swiftly went on Twitter and claimed Chief Obasanjo allegedly mocked Sanusi deliberately playing on words, other Nigerians online said the blunder must have been in error. The true intentions remain unknown.
Chief Obasanjo is famed for writing public letters to eminent personalities, either to praise or to criticize. He wrote similar letters to roundly criticise the incumbent President Buhari in 2015 and same for then-President Jonathan in the twilight of his administration.
