Stop Playing God, APC Chieftain Eze Cautions Wike Over Comments on Amaechi

Stop Playing God, APC Chieftain Eze Cautions Nyesom Wike Over ADC Comment

THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) and a member of the APC Legacy Projects Media Team, has cautioned the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, against playing God in the political destiny of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Eze’s statement, issued in Port Harcourt on Thursday, was in response to Wike’s comments that Amaechi’s presidential ambition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in 2027 was “dead on arrival”.

The APC chieftain described Wike’s remarks as arrogant and blasphemous, accusing him of usurping divine authority. “I am constrained to ask Wike when he became God that he now determines the destiny of human beings. My brother, you are taking your luck too far. You must soft-pedal on your utterances as though you are omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent,” Eze declared.

He said Wike’s obsession with Amaechi had become glaring, stressing that every political move of the former Rivers State governor unsettles him. “It is axiomatic in Igbo parlance that when you ask a child to mention a man’s name, he mentions his mother’s man friend. So, Wike is obsessed with Amaechi,” Eze added.

ADC Ticket Not Wike’s Business

Eze argued that Wike lacked the authority to speak on the internal affairs of the ADC, insisting only the party and God could decide Amaechi’s political fate.

“Is Wike a member of ADC to determine who flies its flag in 2027? Certainly not. Wike is neither God nor a stakeholder in ADC. The delegates of the party, guided by God, will decide,” he said.

The APC stalwart maintained that Amaechi’s destiny had always been shaped by God, recalling his meteoric rise from Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly to Governor, and later Minister of Transportation. “Wike has no role in this divine arrangement,” he stressed.

“Amaechcanism”

In a scathing rebuke, Eze coined the term “Amaechcanism” to describe what he called Wike’s political disorder. He defined it as the state of mind affecting individuals who once benefitted from Amaechi’s generosity but now seek his downfall.

“Wike suffers from this mental disorder. He fears Amaechi’s resurgence and his possible role in shaping Nigeria’s political destiny in 2027. Such phobia drives his incessant attacks,” he alleged.

Corruption Allegations

Reacting to Wike’s claim that Amaechi could not fight corruption, Eze dismissed the statement as laughable, noting Amaechi’s record of prudent resource management as Rivers State governor.

“Amaechi cannot promise what he cannot fulfil. He curtailed corruption in Rivers State and managed its resources transparently. If given the mandate, he has the capacity to establish strong institutions that will curb corruption in Nigeria. His only mistake would be appointing corrupt individuals like Wike,” he argued.

On allegations that Amaechi sold gas turbines and pocketed the proceeds, Eze described Wike’s narrative as false and mischievous. He explained that the transaction was duly captured in the 2014 Rivers State budget approved by the State Assembly.

“Wike knows the truth but repeats the lie like a chronic blackmailer. Amaechi and his aides have clarified this severally, yet Wike shamelessly raises it at every opportunity,” he said.

N435bn Loot Allegation

Eze further accused Wike of hypocrisy, citing his alleged failure to account for N435 billion during his tenure as Rivers governor. “Rather than dwell on Amaechi, Wike should focus on explaining the alleged N435bn loot that EFCC was barred from probing because of his role in the Tinubu administration,” he stated.

He insisted that Wike’s past would soon catch up with him. “All the atrocities Wike committed against the Nigerian people will not go unpunished. Jealousy is a terrible and incurable disease that will consume him and others who wish Amaechi evil,” Eze warned.

Eze described Wike as a “confused betrayer” whose political future remained uncertain, urging Nigerians to pity him for “not even knowing the party he belongs to”.

He concluded by emphasising that only God and the democratic process would determine Amaechi’s political future. “For Wike to ceaselessly harp on matters already captured in the 2014 budget is both hypocritical and idiotic. The destiny of Amaechi lies in God’s hands, not in the hands of any mortal,” Eze declared.
