God Will Do Something Great in Nigeria, Baba Aladura Adenaike Speaks at C&S 100th Anniversary
The Baba Aladura Worldwide of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Morning Star (ESOMS), Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Joseph Olatunji Adenaike, has declared that God will do something great in Nigeria.
He made the statement during the centenary celebration of the church, held in Festac Town, Lagos, to mark 100 years since its founding by the late St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase Ajagunmokadi in 1925.
The anniversary which featured several activities and events began on Monday, 8 September, with a Praise Night Musical Concert, followed by the Seraphic Centenary Service on Tuesday, which also featured a documentary on the history and expansion of the church.
Other activities included the Annual General Conference, ordination of members, and a grand thanksgiving service on Sunday.
The thanksgiving, which featured a road parade across the Festac–Amuwo Odofin axis and a main service at The Morning Star Cathedral, drew participants from across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and from overseas.

Speaking at the close of the celebration, Baba Aladura Adenaike described the event as a success and expressed hope for the nation’s future.
“God is going to do something wonderful in this country that will surprise us all,” he said. “Nigeria cannot continue in its present state. We need food, water, and the necessities of life, but I believe this anniversary will pave the way for many blessings.”
He urged Nigerians not to despair, stressing that prayer and endurance remain vital.
“God will do something great for this nation, but we must pray,” he added. “The masses should endure and continue to believe. At the appointed time, God Himself will act.”
The centenary celebration brought together thousands of members and reaffirmed the continuing legacy of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church and its mission to spread the gospel worldwide.
