Ned Nwoko Breaks Silence Amid Marital Tension With Regina Daniels
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, has publicly addressed a viral video showing his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, appearing distressed.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, the 64-year-old senator shared a brief video and a written statement, attributing the situation to what he described as Regina’s “unprovoked carnage” allegedly fueled by drug and alcohol abuse.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problems,” Nwoko claimed.
“She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he added.
According to the senator, Regina allegedly attacked three members of their household staff and caused significant property damage in his absence.
“She slapped and hit three staff members in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,” he alleged.
Nwoko further claimed that Regina had relocated to an undisclosed location where she could access drugs more freely and expressed concern over her refusal to continue rehabilitation.
“I’ve given her a clear condition: to accept rehabilitation either in Asokoro or abroad, preferably in Jordan, where access to drugs would be restricted,” he said.
“A clear-headed Regina would have taken Moon (their son) to the hospital, but instead, she even threatened to kill our resident nurse for allegedly exposing her drug abuse.”
He also accused her close associates of supplying her with drugs.
“While I took Moon to the hospital, chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier.
“Another known supplier is a girl named Ann, whom I refer to as a ‘tiny evil devil,’” he alleged.
The controversy follows a viral video posted Saturday showing Regina Daniels in an emotional confrontation.“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence—it’s too much,” Regina is heard saying in the footage.
Reacting to the incident, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Danhillman—known on social media as Sammy West—accused Nwoko of assaulting his sister and vowed to defend her.
“Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote on Instagram.
As of press time, Regina Daniels and her team have not responded publicly to the allegations.
The cause of the altercation remains unclear.
This is not the first time the couple has faced public scrutiny. Earlier in February, actress Chika Ike denied rumors suggesting she was pregnant for Nwoko, calling the claims “false and baseless.” The speculation gained traction after Regina briefly deactivated her Instagram account.
In March, Nwoko refuted further rumors of marital discord and reaffirmed his commitment to Regina while also announcing that she was expecting their third child.
Regina Daniels, 25, married Ned Nwoko in 2019 at the age of 18. They have two children together. A veteran of the Nigerian film industry, she began her acting career in 2007 with the film Marriage in Sorrow and has since appeared in over 100 movies, including Miracle Child, Python Girl, and Queen Rebecca. She is Nwoko’s youngest wife.
Ned Nwoko holds law degrees from Keele University in the UK and was called to the English Bar at Lincoln’s Inn. He returned to Nigeria in 1998 and entered politics in 1999, representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State from 1999 to 2003.
