
Senate Approves NCC Board, Olorunnimbe as Chairman
The Senate has confirmed Idris Ibikunle Olorunnimbe as Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) following his successful screening by the Committee on Communications.
The confirmation, announced during Tuesday’s plenary, was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Mrs Nnenna Ukoha, Head of Public Affairs at the commission.
Adopting the committee’s report, the Senate also confirmed Maryam Bayi (North East), Senator Ramoni Olalekan Mustafa (South West), and Ikechukwu Ugwuegede (South East) as Commissioners on the Board.
Other confirmed members include Princess Oforitsenere Emiko and Christopher Sandy Okorie, both representing the South South region.

They join the Executive Vice Chairman, Dr Aminu Maida (North West); Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Engineer Abraham Oshadami (North Central); and Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, Rimini H. Makama (North Central), who had been earlier confirmed.
