Mohbad: I Was Disappointed Naira Marley Forgave Iyabo Ojo — VeryDarkMan
THECONSCIENCE NG reports that Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has revealed that he was unhappy with singer Naira Marley’s decision to forgive actress Iyabo Ojo, after she allegedly defamed him during the controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death.
VDM said he had advised Naira Marley to pursue a cyberbullying and defamation case against Iyabo Ojo, but the singer chose to let it go after she reportedly apologised at the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office.
Speaking in a video posted on his TikTok page, VDM expressed his disappointment at the turn of events.
“I told Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo but he said Allah will judge. I told him to lose his cool the moment we enter the Police Commissioner’s office and say Iyabo Ojo’s defamatory remarks have ruined his career and tarnished his image. He said okay, but when he got there and Iyabo apologised in Yoruba, Naira Marley immediately forgave her. I almost died where I was sitting. I was so upset and disappointed.”
He added that Naira Marley’s associate, Sam Larry, was also against the forgiveness and became emotional over the matter.
“When Samlarry saw that Naira Marley has accepted Iyabo Ojo’s apology, he protested against it. I was signalling Naira Marley not to accept the apology because I know Iyabo Ojo won’t keep to her end of the agreement. Samlarry shed tears,” he said.
Recall that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were acquitted by a court four months ago, after being accused of complicity in the death of rising music star Mohbad.
