JYPA Applauds Governor Sanwo Olu, Lagosians On Lagos Blue Line Rail Inauguration

Youth groups under the auspices of Joint Youth Progressive Alliance, JYPA, has showered encomium on the Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo Olu administration and the entire people of Lagos State over the Giant stride of the current administration piloting the affairs of the State on the successful inauguration of the Lagos Blue Line Rail For Commercial Operations on 4th September 2023.

The Group’s President, Prince Kunle Adeyemi lauded the Governor Sanwo Olu administration for its visionary leadership and infrastructural developmental prowess for the benefit of residents of the State.

Adeyemi expressed its delight and solidarity with the government and people of Lagos for being witnesses to an historic and life transforming project which has further affirmed Lagos as a pacesetter and benchmark for good governance in sub-saharan Africa.

In a Statement signed by the Head, Media and Strategy of the Group, Akinwale Kasali, Adeyemi said Youths in the State and under JYPA are elated with the ground breaking inauguration which is first of its kind in the country and West Africa.

“This giant stride of Governor Sanwo Olu is laudable, and we are delighted to be a part of this historic event; we congratulate and commend Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu led administration for its tenacity, determination and commitment to drive the vision of the Lagos of our dreams incubated by political giants and his predecessors in office in persons of late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Babatunde Fashola (SAN) and Akinwunmi Ambode, in bringing this monumental project to reality in our lifetime”.

The Group reiterated that this is first of it’s kind of an electric powered intra city 13km light rail in sub-saharan Africa, the economic and social wellbeing of Lagosians will be transformed and enhanced and it’s status as a smart and clean energy friendly city cemented in history.

It added that Governor Sanwo Olu is not resting on its oars in making Lagos State achieve the Mega City status, and a pace setter of developmental strides among its peers in Nigeria, Africa and across the world at large.

It however urged Lagosians to take ownership of this life changing infrastructure and ensure that all safety measures put in place for efficient operations are voluntarily complied with for a Rising Lagos.

The statement stressed that Lagosians should support the administration for more infrastructural development for the betterment of the State.
