Jandor Poised To Defect To Another Party Today
It has emerged that Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, the 2023 Lagos governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is set to officially defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) today.
Jandor, who resigned from the PDP two weeks ago, will address the public in a press conference scheduled for this morning at his campaign office in Ikeja, Lagos. During the press briefing, he is expected to formally announce his decision to rejoin the APC.
Following his resignation from the PDP, Adediran, who had previously been a member of the APC in Lagos, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja. The meeting, which took place recently, was intended to inform the president of his plans to return to his original political party.
A source close to Jandor has indirectly confirmed the move.
The defection signals a significant shift in the political landscape of Lagos, as Adediran’s return to the APC is expected to have a considerable impact on the party’s strength and influence in the state.
