JAMB Utme Results: How 4 Brilliant Students Smashed Over 300 Marks; What ‘No Result Yet’ Candidates Must Do

From the fresh JAMB UTME results released, the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has recorded a new batch of high flying academic champions who absolutely smashed the ceilings with exceptional results scoring 300 and above while scores of candidates struggled to hit the 200 mark.

The 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) began on April 16 and ended on Wednesday, April 22.

A total of 2,243,816 candidates successfully registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), representing a 10.5% increase from the 2.03 million candidates recorded in 2025.

Meet four top-performing candidates who scored over 300 marks from the JAMB utme results so far.

Underage Candidates

Meanwhile, the story is a different one for candidates who were declared underage and couldn’t have their JAMB utme results just yet.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced that it is yet to release the results of underage candidates who sat for the exam.

In a statement signed by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board said ‘No Result Yet’ status applies specifically to candidates below the approved age threshold.

“Please be informed that results for underage candidates have not been released. When such candidates attempt to check their results, the system will return the message ‘No Result Yet,” the statement read.

JAMB Policy on Underage Candidates

The board maintains a minimum age requirement of 16 years for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions through the UTME.

As stipulated by regulation, only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026 are eligible to register for and sit the UTME,” the board said.

To have their JAMB utme results, underage candidates have to be exceptionally brilliant and display that across different assessments.

According to JAMB guidelines, such candidates must meet strict benchmarks, including a minimum of 320 score in the UTME, at least 80 per cent in post-UTME administered by the universities, and a minimum of 80 per cent in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

The board added that underage candidates must also undergo a dedicated post-UTME screening even in universities where the general post-UTME process has been suspended, before they can be classified as exceptional.

Ongoing Release of Results

The development comes as

JAMB utme results continue to be released for candidates who participated.

The board had earlier announced the release of results for candidates who sat the examination on Thursday, 16 April, the first day of the exercise, with 632,788 results made available. Others were later released.

The examination was conducted across centres nationwide, with over 2.2 million candidates registered for this year’s exercise.
